25th Wedding Anniversary
This image was for Rob & Lisbon's 25th wedding anniversary. They wanted a family image to celebrate the special occasion. Their son was getting ready to leave for a trip to Italy and I thought the image of them standing had a certain "Italian" feel to it. An interesting bit of trivia that I learned in this session was that Rob was on the 1978 Duke basketball team that played Kentucky in the NCAA finals. It didn't take long for us to come to agreement in our dislike of a certain baby blue collegiate color.

Medical Magazine
This is a magazine that the local hospital publishes. The magazine goes out to around 20,000 subscribers. All the images on these three pages are images that I created for the magazine. It has been alot of fun doing these images as it is completely different from some of the other types of work that I do. I have also got to meet a lot of doctors and actually changed family doctors after photographing one of the new doctors coming in.
Below is an image of me in the operating room after I photographed one of the OR nurses. Hope this is the only way I end up in the OR for a very long time.

How Cute!!
I photographed the wedding for the parents of these kids 7-8 years ago. The Dad had these images made to surprise Mom for Christmas. I called and asked how the surprise went and He said, "It went even better than I expected!" She was thrilled to say the least. I saw his mother-in-law today and she said that she couldn't hardly look at pictures without crying.(just so you know... that's a good thing)

Mission Table
Here is a mission style table that I started some time ago. The table is made from Wormy Chestnut. The American chestnut tree was one of the most widely known trees in the US until and blight was brought in from imports and now there are only a few known trees left living. Old chestnut many times has holes in it where worms have burrowed through the wood. It actually makes the wood desireable. This was some wood a friend of mine gave me from trees that had been pulled from the KY River and then dried and sawed into lumber. This was basically the scrap that he had left from projects he had built so this was not the best quality but it was cool to be able to use it.
I have several projects that I have started and never finished. I am going back and trying to finish up some of these projects. I finished a small blanket chest and now the table. I love Stickley "mission or craftsman" furniture. I can remember the first time I saw a mission Prairie chair and settle(which is a long wooden couch with arms and back with cushions to sit on). I thought it was some of the coolest furniture. At the time I thought it was a new design someone had developed when it actually was a design that was close to 100 years old.

Tim Farmer & the Dells
this is an image of Tim Farmer and his band "The Dells". They play 50's music(Elvis, Jerry Lee, etc.) This was a shot that they will use with different backgrounds for posters etc. Tim Farmer is the host of KY Afield. The rest of the band is John Welsh- Guitar, Courtney Welsh-drums, Tim Sharp-bass, and Jason Miller-keyboards.

Here is a promo clip for KY Afield from YouTube.
This is a clip with the self proclaimed "Moron Brothers" You will love their houseboat.

Born To Be Wild
I was coming back through town on my bike(the pedaling kind) and saw all of these motorcycles out front of the bar that just opened and thought I would try to take a couple of photo's. I was able to get away just before all the bikers came out to break my neck thinking I was one of those FBI/police/narc spy types.
